• Try to avoid developing visual oneness in the room by matching everything. Applying same colors, designs of patterns throughout the space wouldn’t only make the design boring but it will also make the room to give a look of being smaller in size.

• Using short curtains wouldn’t serve the purpose of decorating the room in an ideal way. Instead, you can use floor-to-ceiling curtains that would conceal the walls and windows, creating a sensation that room has more space to offer.
• Make sure that your complete set of furniture doesn’t have too many pieces that you would need to stuff into the room. Before the furniture purchase, take the room’s measurements and go for the appropriately numbered furniture items.
• Lighting always has a big role to play in the room’s decoration, especially when you do not want the room to look smaller. It simply implies that bad lighting can be disastrous for room decoration by all means.
